On the occasion of the 8th World Congress against the Death Penalty which will take place place in Berlin from 15 to 18 November 2022, the Paris Bar, founding member of the Coalition against the death penalty, will be mobilized.
The Paris Bar, the International Bar association's Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI), the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwaltverein – DAV) are bringing together a resolution on death penalty whose aim is to uphold respect for transparency in retentionist States concerning data relating to the imposition and application of the death penalty.
This resolution will be officially presented at the World Congress in Berlin.
Then, we call the Bars and professional organizations of lawyers worldwide to sign the resolution that you will find attached in German and English and a letter of the president and vice president of the Paris Bar. You only need to send your agreement to sign by email to asouleliac@avocatparis.org
